Divine Alignments for Divine Assignments

Today, I attended a networking event for my job. At first I had no interest in going… after all, I have a horrible sinus infection, I got just 2 hours sleep last night, I really didn’t want to be there!  I parked my car and on my way into the building, my attitude was put into check! I heard that still small voice (God) speaking on the inside of me, “weren’t you the one praying this morning ‘Lord Order my steps today, make me like You today’?” OUCH! Who knew God could be a wise guy! Lol!!! I was quick to quote Jesus, “Nevertheless, Not my will but Thy will be done.”
I stepped into the room and there were little clusters of people carrying on conversations all around the room. For some reason I was drawn to one particular group of people. There were 2 ladies in the group that would have made Debbie Downer look like Doris Day! Nothing was right, they hated their job, hated their company, hated the economy, hated their clients, on and on, and on! Enter Nancy! I decided I would be their very own little ray of sunshine! As I struck up a conversation with them, one of the ladies said “I can’t wait for 2012 to get here!” In my mind I thought FINALLY someone with some Faith! She went on to say, she was giving her husband until the first of the year to “get his act together.” So I spoke up and said, “Mary, I have to applaud you for believing and setting your expectation that 2012 was going to be a better year for you and your husband!” I told them I was also looking for a better 2012 and breakthrough in different areas of my life. Apparently, these two ladies were not believers. Mary and her unhappy friend looked at me like I had 2 heads!

As I was standing there trying to share some positive beliefs and thoughts with these ladies that still small voice (God) began to speak on the inside of me again. I heard on the inside of me, “You don't have to wait for the beginning of the new year to experience change!” He went on to say, “when you have a divine assignment, no matter what it may be, if you will align yourself with My Word, My Spirit, My ways and principles you’ll start to experience change like never before.” You see, I realized if I wanted to see the change I was desiring in my life, and the change God was desiring to bring, it was not going to be tied to a day on the calendar or the dropping of a crystal ball on New Year’s Eve. I had to make a shift! I need to shift my alignment… what am I saying about my situation? What am I saying about my present situation? Am I cursing my process?  Often times God will take us thru a process to get all the negative stripped off of us so we are ready for His use!

I have been thinking about this all day… What did the Spirit say to me? “You don't have to wait for the beginning of the New Year to experience change.” You see friends, in reality it has been a new day since the day Jesus said, “It is Finished”. He changed everything at that very moment. In the mind of God he has already provided all the change we need and desire. We simply have to walk in it!  It is my (our) part to accept His plan and will… Align yourself with Him!  My encouragement for you is this…Experience the Change now! You don’t have to wait! Now is the Time! Change is here for you! No more delay!
